When Austinbased Endeavor Real Estate Group envisioned a massive North Austin mixed-use project dubbed The Domain, the development company persuaded retail giant Simon Property Group to take a major stake and build an upscale regional outdoor center. As The Domain has gained tremendous traction with office, hotel and multifamily development, an opportunity emerged for Endeavor to take the lead on subsequent retail development, so it created the Rock Rose niche specializing in local restaurants and boutiques. Now Endeavor has formally unveiled Domain Northside, 1 a 43-acre retail-based community that doesn’t involve Simon Property Group. It includes the new Nordstrom outlet and Restoration Hardware as well as the Archer Hotel Austin. This time Endeavor sought out new partners – Northwood Retail LLC of Dallas and B2and Company, a boutique merchandising company based in Park City, Utah, which includes a local retail expert – Rance Wilemon of Plat.form Commercial Real Estate. Endeavor recently hired a heavy hitter to oversee Rock Rose and Domain Northside – Ai Jemison Coffee. Formerly the general manager for Federal Realty Investment Trust in Rockville, Maryland, Coffee has deep experience in transitoriented and mixed-use developments on the East Coast. She joined Endeavor in March as general manager.
