As Principal

Jake Newman oversees Endeavor Real Estate Group’s student living platform, leading the team responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing student housing developments and acquisitions across targeted university markets nationwide. His responsibilities span the full project lifecycle, including entitlements, predevelopment, capitalization, construction, lease-up, and project completion. Endeavor’s current student living pipeline includes three projects totaling approximately 2,400 beds and $430 million in total development costs.

Prior to Joining Endeavor

Jake served as Executive Vice President and Head of Development at American Campus Communities, the nation’s largest publicly traded student housing company, which was acquired by Blackstone in 2022. During his 21-year tenure at ACC, Jake oversaw all facets of development, delivering more than 45,000 beds representing $4.1 billion in total development costs. Under his leadership, ACC was selected by leading institutions including the University of Texas, MIT, UC Berkeley, Arizona State University, Princeton University, Emory University, Purdue University, and Disney to plan, design, and deliver student housing solutions.
