Endeavor and SMP Interests, in partnership with Walters Southwestm, is proposing a new shopping center development strategically located at the southeast quadrant of U.S. Highway 290 West and Brodie Lane adjacent to the existing Kohl's store in Sunset Valley (Austin), Texas. Brodie Lane, Highway 290 and Mopac are three of the major arteries serving traffic in southwest Austin, with a combined traffic count of over 158,100 vehicles daily. The intersection is recognized as the retail destination for southwest Austin and boasts over 1,000,000 sf of retail including the following national tenants: Circuit City, Bed Bath & Beyond, TJ Maxx, Barnes & Noble, Pier 1 Imports, Home Depot, Ross Dress for Less, PatsMart, Petco, Best Buy, Michael's, Old Navy, Linens 'N Things, Comp USA, Academy, WalMart, World Market, Ulta, and Target. Approved for development during the 1990's, the site is planned for a Class A shopping center consisting of shops and restaurants ranging from 1,000 to 30,000 sf, in addition to two fu ll-service restaurants. The project will also have interconnecting pedestrian and bike trails and will be designed to thematically match the existing house and barn.
