Real Estate Roundup: Australian gaming company heads to Domain; La Feria leaving South Lamar

Here is a roundup of breaking real estate deals and announcements in the Austin area that weren’t included in other Austin Business Journal real estate online coverage.

• Texas Fabco Solutions Inc. leased 35,000 square feet of industrial space at 178 E. RR 962 in Round Mountain north of Johnson City. Jerry Heare of REOC Austin represented the landlords, 4501 Springdale Ltd. and Blanco Warehouse.

• Getagadget, a maker of souvenirs and promotional products, renewed its lease for 30,600 square feet at Montopolis Distribution Center, Building 1, 6406 Burleson Road. Otto Swingler with Live Oak-Gottesman represented the landlord, and Leigh Ellis and David Putman with Aquila Commercial represented the tenant.

Aristocrat Technologies, a gaming company headquartered in Australia, leased 24,412 square feet at Domain 1, 11801 Domain Blvd. Jonathan Tate of Endeavor Real Estate Group represented the landlord, and Matt Wichita, Jon Wheels and Max McDonald of Aquila Commercial represented the tenant.

• Grand Luxe Cafe leased 8,962 square feet at The Domain regional shopping center owned by Simon Property Group. Grand Luxe Cafe was created by the founders of The Cheesecake Factory. This will be its first Austin location. Grand Luxe Cafe replaces the former Jasper’s Gourmet Backyard Cuisine. Blatties & Schnur, a Los Angeles brokerage, handled the deal.

• Turnkey VR leased 8,573 square feet at Monterrey Oaks, 5508 W. U.S. Highway 290. Rebecca Zigterman and Jason Steinberg with ECR represented the landlord, and Cortland Lowe with HPI Real Estate Services & Investments represented the tenant.

• The Sherwin-Williams Co. leased 4,763 square feet at 6203 N. Capital of Texas Highway for a new store. Preston Wolfe with Retail Solutions represented the landlord, Bull Creek Partners LP, and Neal Kieschnik with CBRE Group Inc. represented the tenant.

• Perkins + Will, a national architectural firm, leased 4,256 square feet at The Pioneer Bank Building, 623 W. 38th St. Matt Levin and Ryan Wilson with ECR represented the landlord, and Diana Holford and Jeff Coddington with JLL represented the tenant.

• La Feria Inc., the longstanding Austin restaurant at 2010 S. Lamar Blvd., has signed a new lease to relocate to 4,000 square feet at 6301 W. Parmer Lane. Neal Kieschnik and Sergio Negrete with CBRE Group Inc. represented the landlord, SCI Parmer Fund, and Teddy AbiJaoudi with TMAX International Realty represented the tenant.

• Zipps Dry Cleaning leased 3,850 square feet at 1803 S. Lamar Blvd. Lee Ellison of ECR represented the landlord, and Phil Morris of Retail Solutions represented the tenant.

• Funsize, a product design company, leased 3,600 square feet at the Canopy Austin creative working community at 916 Springdale Road. Molly Casey with Central Austin Management Group represented the landlord, Bluedale LLC, and David Edmondson of Nelson Puett & Associates represented the tenant.

• Texans Standing Tall renewed and expanded its lease for 3,351 square feet at 2211 S. I-35. Bob Hemphill with Robert R. Hemphill Co. represented the landlord, and Patrick Ley with ECR represented the tenant.

• Oak Hill Wellness Clinic leased 2,773 square feet at Mesa Oaks, 5920 W. William Cannon Drive. Patrick Ley and Matt Levin with ECR represented the landlord, and Brian Novy with The Novy Co. represented the tenant.

• FC USA Inc. leased 2,450 square feet at 210 Barton Springs Road. Cheryl Ogle and The Crystal Management Trust is the landlord. Kelly Woodruff and Jerry Frey with CBRE Group Inc. represented the tenant.

• SRA International Inc. leased 2,446 square feet at Crestview Crossing, 8120 Research Blvd. Rob Merritt of Retail Solutions represented the landlord.

• Fairway Independent Mortgage leased 2,200 square feet at 714 S. Austin Ave. in Georgetown. Janice Landers and Fred Wendland of Retail Solutions represented the landlord, and Timothy Smith of Marcy Urban represented the tenant.

• The Simple Greek, a fast-casual restaurant, leased 1,981 square feet at the Shops at Greenlawn, 3000 Greenlawn Blvd. in Round Rock. Evan Dyer of Hunington Properties Inc. represented the landlord, and Matthew Huckin of DuWest Realty represented the tenant. This will be The Simple Greek’s first Austin location. It features pitas and bowls with a Mediterranean twist.

• Sprint Corp. leased 1,800 square feet at 5002 Gattis School Road in Hutto. Pat Wheat with Barshop & Oles represented the landlord, HEB Grocery Co. LP, and Sergio Negrete with CBRE Group Inc. represented the tenant in securing new store space.

• NARAL leased 1,583 square feet at Chase Northcross, 7600 Burnet Road. Rebecca Zigterman and Jason Steinberg with ECR represented the landlord, and Craig Primozich with Asterra Properties represented the tenant.

• Sprint Corp. leased 1,500 square feet at the new Belterra Village project near Nutty Brown Road and U.S. Highway 290 near Dripping Springs. Dan Frey with the co-developer Endeavor Real Estate Group represented the landlord, ERG Betlterra Ltd., and Sergio Negrete with CBRE Group Inc. represented the tenant in securing new store space.

• Sprint Corp. leased 1,244 square feet at 6317 Bee Cave Road. Adam Zimel with Endeavor Real Estate Group represented the landlord, CH Retail Fund 1/Bee Cave LP, and Sergio Negrete with CBRE Group Inc. represented the tenant in securing the new store space.

• Roosters Men’s Grooming Center leased 1,200 square feet at 455 University Blvd. in Round Rock. Matt Lederer of Healthcare Realty represented the landlord, and Sean Murphy and Jessica Myers of CLD Realty represented the tenant.

• Cryofit, a cryotherapy provider, has leased 1,200 square feet at Cypress Bend Shopping Center, 2051 Cypress Creek Road in Cedar Park. Andrew Perkel and Fred Wendland of Retail Solutions represented the landlord, and Al Martin of Martin Commercial Properties represented the tenant.

• HJD Property Management leased 896 square feet at Hills Office Park, 4611 Bee Cave Rod. Patrick Ley and Haley Berry Smith represented the landlord, and Billy Bedillion with ECR represented the tenant.
